In the Beginning

In 2013, the Georgia Consortium for Fieldwork Education started as nothing more than a group of passionate OT educators determined to improve the quality of FW education in the state and beyond. Fieldwork Coordinators from local colleges and universities saw a need for collaboration and shared resources among the various programs in the state, paving the way for the group's early beginnings.

The Consortium has since grown to 7 member universities spread throughout the state of Georgia with hopes of continued growth. Each year the group holds virtual meetings and makes it a point to convene at the annual Georgia Occupational Therapy Association (GOTA) conference.
